I’m Back…Kind of!

Hello! Its been almost a month since my last post and I’ve only just come round to feeling up to write a reson to my absence.

This year has been an amazing if hectic year and I’ve used it almost as an excuse to explain my haphazard posting so far but that’s not the whole story. You see I first started blogging 2 years ago in March which is crazy to think about really. In that time I’ve felt the pressure to post more and more to aim for consistency and views and comments and well that’s not really why I started blogging.

When I started it would be a lie if I didn’t say the apeal of the “make money blogging” articles and videos I saw as I researched how to set up my blog hadn’t motivated me a bit in the first instance along side my own desire to post and share my passions and have a voice. However, since that time I grew and learnt to love the community on here and learnt that blogging as a job was not something I wanted to aim for (and might not even be possible). I work 9-5 monday to friday anyways and treating my blog like a job just took the fun out of gaming for me and made the time I should have been relaxing after long days at work into more work time.

I now realise looking back on it that blogging was something I had been using not just as a hobby or because I found it entertaining but as a distraction from personal challenges I was faced with in real life.

So that’s all going to change! I’m not really sure in what way I’m going to take my blog how often I’ll post or even on what but I know that I’m not going to follow any of the “rules” of blogging and just do it for me and for fun! I won’t be making regular posts, I won’t be on social media every day and worrying about how a tag my posts. I will be writing about stuff that I’m interested in and using social media when I have something worth saying or interacting with the community.
